Everything’s Connected.

So Is Our Approach.

Back Pain

Back pain can show up in many ways — from sharp lower back strain to ongoing tension in the upper or mid-back. It’s one of the most common reasons people come to see us.
Your care begins with a full assessment, and in most cases, treatment is provided in the first session (with your consent). We keep treatment plans practical, not excessive — and follow current clinical guidelines that support hands-on care for both acute and persistent back pain(research links: Bronfort 2010Qaseem 2017).

Neck Pain & Whiplash-Related Symptoms

Neck pain can arise from many sources — poor posture, desk work, tension, or after a sudden injury like whiplash. You might feel it just in your neck, or as discomfort spreading into the shoulders, back, or even the head.

Osteopathic treatment may help improve mobility and reduce strain in the muscles and joints of the neck, while supporting recovery following minor trauma. We take a careful, tailored approach — always working within your comfort and clinical needs.

One study also explored osteopathy’s potential in managing whiplash symptoms as part of a broader care plan (research link: Bischoff 2006).

Joint & Muscle Pain

Joint or muscle pain can make daily movement feel frustrating — whether it’s a stiff shoulder, aching hip, or a sore, unstable ankle. These issues often arise from wear and tear, overuse, or simply how we move through life and work.

Osteopathy may support mobility, relieve tension, and help you feel more stable in joints like the shoulders, hips, knees, or feet. A 2014 review also explored the role of osteopathic treatment in improving function for people with hip and knee arthritis (research link about hip and knee arthritis: Seffinger 2014).

Sciatica, Trapped Nerves, Carpal Tunnel

Symptoms like tingling, numbness, or sharp pain in the limbs can sometimes be linked to irritation or compression along a nerve pathway — whether in the neck, back, wrist, or elsewhere.

While we don’t treat nerve disorders directly, osteopathic care may help by addressing surrounding soft tissue and joint tension, improving mobility, and supporting overall comfort.

Some research has explored osteopathy’s role in conditions like carpal tunnel syndrome as part of a broader care plan (research link about Carpal Tunnel : Burnham 2015).

RSI, Tendonitis and Workplace Injury

Osteopathic soft tissue techniques may be very helpful (research link about tennis elbow: Küçükşen 2013).

Repetitive movements — whether at a desk, on a job site, or during sport — can lead to irritation in tendons and soft tissues. You might notice stiffness, swelling, or aching in areas like the wrists, elbows, shoulders, or hands.

Osteopathic treatment may support your recovery by improving movement in surrounding joints and reducing muscular tension. One study also explored the impact of manual therapy techniques, including osteopathy, for people experiencing tennis elbow symptoms (research link about tennis elbow: Küçükşen 2013).

Headaches, Jaw Pain & Facial Tension

Gentle care for tension you can’t stretch away.

Headaches, Migraines, Sinus Problems

Many people experience headaches, migraines, or facial pressure that affects their energy, focus, and quality of life. These symptoms can sometimes be linked to muscular tension, neck strain, jaw imbalance, or restricted drainage around the face and sinuses.

Osteopathic treatment may help ease tension in related areas, improve mobility, and support overall comfort. Some research has explored the potential role of osteopathic care in chronic migraine management (research link about chronic migraine: Cerritelli 2015).

Balance, Jaw Tension & Pressure in the Head or Neck

Feelings of dizziness, imbalance, or jaw discomfort often stem from the same complex area — where the neck, jaw, and cranial structures meet. You might notice headaches, face or ear pressure, clicking or locking in the jaw, or even episodes of vertigo.

Osteopathic care may help reduce tension in these regions, improve mobility, and support clearer function. In some cases, we may also use specific positional techniques — like the Epley manoeuvre — for certain types of benign positional vertigo (research link about Epley’s: von Brevern 2006).

Sports Injuries, Joint Pain & Performance Strain

Improving Sports Performance

Whether it’s a sudden injury on the field or an issue that’s built up over time, we support active people of all levels through injury, recovery, and performance plateaus.

We begin with a thorough clinical assessment using standard orthopaedic and neurological testing to help identify the nature of your injury — whether it’s a ligament rupture (such as an ACL), a repetitive strain issue, or another biomechanical problem. If imaging or specialist referral is required, we’ll guide you through that process.

When appropriate, hands-on osteopathic care may support your recovery by easing strain, improving joint mechanics, and restoring mobility. We also provide tailored rehabilitation planning and exercise prescription to help you return to activity safely and with confidence.
